US Cellular adds the BlackBerry Bold 9650 to its lineup - expected to receive OS 6
The wait is finally over for US Cellular customers now that the BlackBerry Bold 9650 will soon become a reality for them – even more when the carrier says that the business oriented device will be upgraded down the road with BlackBerry OS 6. For those who are itching to get their hands on a handset, you can expect to grab one starting tomorrow, August 18th, for the contract price of $230 – but it's worth nothing that the carrier will be offering a $70 mail-in-rebate for it. Which would make it slightly easier to swallow for your pockets when you consider that Big Red is selling their version for $99.99. Under the hood, we're pretty much treated to the same internals seeing that it features a 2.4” HVGA+ display, 3.2-megapixel camera, dual-mode CDMA connectivity with EV-Do revision A support, and additional support for UMTS/HSPA connectivity to access data when you're traveling outside of the country. Perfect for the international traveler, US Cellular's version is also graced with an exclusive app; Your Navigator Deluxe.
