The Oukitel K10000 and its massive 10,000 mAh battery now available to pre-order
Remember the Oukitel K10000, the unique smartphone announced earlier this year? The handset features a massive 10,000 mAh battery, and has a design that may help it standout (whether you like it or not). While the phone hasn't been released yet, it can now be pre-ordered from GearBest, a well-known online retailer that's selling many China-made devices.

The Oukitel K10000 costs $239.99, and it looks like it can be shipped worldwide starting January 2. If you apply the "K10000" promo code at checkout, the price goes down to just $199.99. Obviously, this is not a high-end phone, and perhaps not even a mid-range one (depending on your standards).

Sporting a 5.5-inch IPS display with 720 x 1280 pixels, the K10000 is powered by a quad-core, 64-bit MediaTek MTK6735 processor clocked at 1 GHz, further featuring Android Lollipop, LTE (not usable in the US), dual SIM support, a 2 MP front-facing camera, 8 MP rear camera with dual-LED flash, 2 GB of RAM, and 16 GB of expandable storage space.

The new phone's 10,000 mAh battery can be fully charged in 3.5 hours, and you can use it to charge other devices. While Oukitel doesn't say how much talk time and stand by time this battery is offering, we'd image it can provide a normal usage time of several days. In any case, with such a large battery comes great thickness: the Oukitel K1000 measures 157 x 75 x 14 mm (GearBest erroneously mentions that its dimensions are 143 x 77 x 9 mm, but that's impossible with a 5.5-inch screen and the bezels that this phone has). So, any buyers here?
