Sony IFA 2012 press-conference liveblog

What a great day for liveblogging! We're starting with covering the Sony pre-IFA 2012 press-conference, and just a bit later we'll move on to Samsung's Note II announcement.

Today, Sony is expected to unveil two new handsets - the Xperia T and Xperia J, with the former being a high-end smartphone and the latter... well, not so much. The more interesting Xperia T has been leaking like wild these days, and we already have photos and possible specs of the device, which include a smartly-sized 4.6" HD Mobile Bravia display, as well as a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor. Pretty much the same goes for the Xperia J, with the exception of the specs, which are a but more modest here: 4" screen and single-core Qualcomm MSM7227a processor. Oh, did we forget to mention that a new tablet in the spirit of the Tablet S is also expected to appear?
