Sanjay Jha says DROID likely to get Android 2.1
Making a surprise appearance at the Nexus One press conference, Motorola CEO Sanjay Jha hung around to answer a few questions. Sharing the table with HTC top man Peter Chou, Jha said that he "thinks" that Motorola will upgrade the DROID's Android 2.01 build to the 2.1 of the Nexus One. That would mean no more app drawer, live wallpaper and first party 3D apps. Considering that-as we just reported-Verizon will be getting a Nexus One of its own to sell in the spring, we wonder what Jha is really thinking as he sits next to HTC's Chou. The former doesn't look too happy while you can make out the trace of a grin on the latter.
