Samsung reveals exactly what US Galaxy S10-series variants will get access to Android 10 beta first

We're talking about an experimental, unpolished, and most likely, bug-ridden version of the latest OS build, which will be deployed in the coming weeks as part of a public beta program in select global markets. Shortly after confirming the impending rollout in Korea, Samsung has put up a (digital) billboard on its US Community webpage with a similar regional announcement.

This doesn't include a start date either, merely asking for the patience of prospective beta testers as the company "speeds up to provide the most stable version", but what's interesting about the poster is that it reveals the exact "targets" of the US program. These will include consumers who use the Galaxy S10e/S10/S10+ on "Sprint and T-Mobile or Samsung unlocked device."

Obviously, that's great news for owners of the three aforementioned phones in their US unlocked variants, as well as T-Mobile and Sprint-specific models, but Verizon and AT&T subscribers might not be very happy about this announcement. Of course, there's a good chance the One UI 2 Beta with Android 10 program will be expanded later on to also welcome users of Galaxy S10-series devices on the nation's two largest carriers. The same probably goes for the Galaxy S10 5G, as well as the Galaxy Note 10, Note 10+, and Note 10+ 5G.

It will certainly be interesting to follow the release schedule of this beta update now considering Samsung kicked off the Android Pie public testing program for the Galaxy S9 and S9+ in mid-November last year. If the company manages to get the ball rolling earlier this year, you have to assume the stable Android 10-based One UI 2 packages will also be dispatched more quickly to the masses. All in all therefore, it's possible one or two US carriers will be able to send silky smooth Android 10 goodies to their S10 variants by the end of the year.

Until then, don't forget to install the official Samsung Members app if you're interested in getting an early taste of the newest OS flavor. Also, keep in mind that beta spots will be limited and occupied on a first-come, first-served basis whenever the program actually starts accepting registrations.
