Samsung Galaxy S III Mini confirmed: 4.0-inch screen, will be unveiled tomorrow
We’ve seen the poster hinting at the Samsung Galaxy S III Mini, but we never knew whether it was real or not. Now, Samsung’s own JK Shin confirms to the Korean press it is, and it is coming tomorrow, October 11th.
Samsung is holding an event in Germany tomorrow, and it’s clear that the device will be focused exactly on the European market. Shin only confirmed that the Galaxy S III Mini will have a smaller, 4-inch screen, and obviously a lower price, but there are no further details.
"We'll be launching a 4-inch Galaxy S III on the 11th in Germany," Shin said. "There's a lot of demand for a 4-inch screen device in Europe. Some call it an entry-level device, but we call it 'mini.'"
Designwise, the handset should be very similar to the original S III. All of that sounds really good, and it comes just as the iPhone 5 has arrived, raising questions about the benefits of single-handed usage on a smaller screen. Samsung might just deliver that tomorrow, stay tuned.
