Samsung Galaxy Apps store is giving away in-app purchases worth $500

How would you like to score $500 credit for in-app purchases for select games? Samsung is using this promotion to drive users to its Samsung Galaxy Apps store. Since many of the apps are the same, if you had to choose between downloading certain games from the Google Play Store, or the same games from the Galaxy Apps store, getting $500 to use for in-app purchases would no doubt help guide you to Sammy's Apps store. Keep in mind that the $500 reflects the cumulative value of the credits offered for all of the selected games.

To have access to the Samsung Galaxy Apps store, you must own a Samsung Galaxy branded device. That makes sense, no? And even if you do own a Galaxy branded handset, you still might not know where the app is. Well, it happens to be in the app drawer with the title of "Galaxy Apps."

To collect the $500 credit, you need to open the Galaxy Apps app, and in the upper right corner you will see an icon that looks like a gift package. Tap on it and follow the series of prompts that follow. Eventually, you will see a page with a list of games. Each listing will tell you exactly what in-app purchase Samsung is offering with that particular game. As an example, for Cut the Rope 2 you will receive 10,000 Candy Coins valued at $15 (see the image at right).

The promotion ends on May 16th, so if you want to grab some free in-app purchasers, head to the Samsung Galaxy Apps store now. That is, if you own a Galaxy branded handset.
