Rugged version of Samsung Galaxy S4 gets updated to Android 4.3 on AT&T
The AT&T branded Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, the rugged version of Samsung's Android flagship phone, has started receiving an update to Android 4.3. That brings software version I537UCUBML2 to the handset which is rated IP 67. That means the phone is 100% dust proof and can survive a dunking into as much as 3 feet of water.

The update weighs in at a gut-busting 772MB (like the show on TLC, My 700MB Life). Some who have already upgraded their device have found that it runs smoother (no surprise there) and eliminates double tapping on the QWERTY. The update does bring support for the Samsung Galaxy Gear and adds the ability to 'drag and drop' to uninstall an app you no longer want. Also included are some apps courtesy of AT&T including Kindle, Lookout, City ID, Password Keeper, Games and AT&T Mobile Protection.

Considering the size of the download, we suggest having a Wi-Fi connection in place when you download it, and we also would recommend having your battery at least halfway charged.
