The Oppo Ulike 2 was an interesting phone mostly because if the way it was marketed toward women. The 5MP front-facing snapper, according to the manufacturer, made for a perfect vanity mirror for the fairer sex. You might recall that the device had two different lighting options for the front-facing camera. One was slimming and the other was for skin whitening. The phone was configured for the world's largest carrier, China Mobile, and its proprietary TD-SCDMA network.
With the Oppo Ulike 2 launched last December, it's been almost 6 months and that means it is 140 years old in smartphone years. So Oppo (which is a palindrome), has introduced the Oppo Ulike 2S, borrowing liberally from Apple's naming process.
The Oppo Ulike 2S supports dual SIM cards
The screen has grown from the 4.5 inches on the previous model, to the current 5.5 inch screen. And speaking of the screen, the resolution has gone from 540 x 960 (qHD) to 720 x 1280. The front-facing camera remains 5MP while the back also stayed the same at 8MP. The word though, is that the quality of the rear snapper has improved. Oppo has hiked the capacity of the included battery to 3000mAh and there is dual-SIM functionality.
There is no word on when the Oppo Ulike 2S will launch or what price it will sell for, but we will keep our eyes to the ground to catch the next rumbling of information about the model.
