I recently reported that T-Mobile is looking to give its customers the ability to choose their own perk, ranging from music-streaming add-ons like Apple Music and YouTube to video-streaming services like Paramount Plus and ESPN Plus. It was believed that this was going to be the major announcement from the carrier. However, that is reportedly not going to be the case.
According to The Mobile Report, the upcoming announcement from T-Mobile has nothing to do with the new perk system. It'll be something else entirely.

There's a new announcement date
In addition to reporting that the new reveal would not be related to the pick-your-perk system, TMO also mentions in its latest story that the announcement date has been postponed. The project was earlier expected to be unveiled on September 23, but it has now been delayed until October 1. However, it's worth mentioning here that none of this information has officially come from T-Mobile; that's why I'd highly recommend taking this with a grain of salt.
What could the reveal be about?
The main question that lies before us now is what the announcement could be related to, now that the new perks system is reportedly out of the equation. We can only make a guess here, and the first thing that comes to my mind is a new plan. It's worth noting that T-Mobile employees have often been asked to work overtime before the announcement of any new plans.

However, that apparently hasn't been the case this week. But we also can't completely rule out the possibility of the company following a different approach this time and coming up with a new plan without offering overtime to its employees. Some users on Reddit believe that the announcement might be related to upcoming price hikes, but I, personally, don't think that would be the case.
Cheaper plans would be welcomed with both hands
The only announcement that could apparently make T-Mobile customers happy is the introduction of cheaper plans. Or, even better, a cheaper plan that gives you the option to choose a perk of your own choice. Well, we most likely have to wait until October 1 to find out exactly what the carrier is coming up with.
