Nokia gearing up for job fair in San Diego – Lumia 900 prizes in tow
While the Nokia Lumia 900 may be facing a delay for its American debut on AT&T, Nokia is still gearing up for a job recruitment day where at least a handful of Lumia 900’s will be distributed to attendees.

On March 15, 2012, Nokia will be hosting a job fair in San Diego. The handset manufacturer is looking to fill over a 100 new positions in its California offices. Nokia’s latest opportunities represent a $10 million investment into the San Diego area. A few of the opportunities available are:

Finally, to sweeten the pot a bit, Nokia will be raffling off a Nokia Lumia 900 every 30 minutes. That means a few lucky job hunters will walk away with Nokia’s latest Windows Phone handset before it’s even available to the public. We’re guessing most of the attendees would rather walk away with a new career, but a free phone is pretty awesome too, and, hey, who said you couldn’t have both?

proabably not. I think they are waiting for windows8/apollo before they launch a new windows device. ATT and Tmobile will get it more than likely.

So hundreds of free Lumia 900 given away this month but as a consumer, you'll have to wait till April 22nd? WTF is going on here! If it's given away free, there's no technical issue?

It's the US carriers stalling it intentionally, and it's also their carrier networks who are putting up the problem(s). The phone is probably just fine everywhere else, on the unlocked market. Too bad you let the carriers do what they want with your stuff :/

I agree, they could not be giving it away, even for free, if there are some technical issues to settle. I have a feeling it has something to do more with the launch of the new iPad than anything else. I think both AT&T and Nokia felt it best to postpone the launch of the 900 until after all the iPad hoopla has died down a little bit. And I agree to the postponement!

You know out of the blue the new iPad show up this month, knowing Nokia maybe launching. Apollo phones are getting close and here Nokia haven't even released the top of the line lumia 900. Nokia and MS gotta be serious. Why align with ATT who is BS you. Move on to tmo!
