Nokia X6 and X3 – the first X Series handsets
The rumors about an upcoming presentation of the new X Series at Nokia World 2009 have been confirmed with the official announcement of two music-oriented devices.

The first cell phones of the new Series are the X6 and X3. The X6 will be the most technologically advanced music-oriented handset of the manufacturer to date and sport 3.2-inch touch sensitive screen, 32GB built-in memory, 5-megapixel camera with double LED flash and Carl Zeiss optics, A-GPS, 3.5mm jack and battery that will allow 35hrs of continuous audio playback. It seems all these good things will be tightly packed into a 14mm thin body. Quite promising indeed. The manufacturer will also provide software bonus features like Playlist DJ, variety of games (Spore, DJ Mix Tour, Asphalt 4) and access their Comes with music service. The handset is expected to roll out in Q4 at a price of $659 (459EUR) without VAT and subsidies.

The Nokia X3 is more ordinary - a Series 40-based slider handset and the first such device to come with Ovi Store support. It closely resembles the 5530 XpressMusic and features dedicated music controls next to its 2.2-inch screen. The other specs include 3.2-megapixel camera, microSD slot that supports expansion cards with capacity of up to 16GB, Bluetooth 2.1 and 3.5mm jack. You will be able to synchronize the device to Windows Media Player 11 and Ovi Player PC, plus the handset will come with support for Nokia Xpress Audio and Nokia Messaging 2.0. As a whole, there´s nothing really ground-breaking about the X3, but it´s price of $163 (115EUR) without VAT and subsidies looks more than appealing. The Nokia X3 is also expected to hit the shelves in Q4.
