Nokia 9 leaked back cover confirms dual-camera setup, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor

If you haven't gotten too attached to HMD's first true flagship smartphone, the Nokia 8, then you might like the next top-tier handset coming from the Finnish company.

The phone will be available on the market as Nokia 9, but word is HMD plans to announce it early next year. However, rumors about HMD's upcoming flagship have already popped up online, along with a host of pictures based on the CAD files.

Recently, a picture allegedly showing the back plate of the Nokia 9 have leaked out directly from China. The image confirms a couple of details about the phone that emerged weeks ago, such as the dual-camera setup and the positioning of the fingerprint sensor below the primary camera.

It's still unclear what material HMD will use for the phone's outer casing, but the image shows a glossy back cover. The bottom and top sides of the back plate aren't visible in the picture, but rumor has it Nokia 9 will ditch the 3.5mm jack port in favor of USB Type-C.

The rest of the phone's rumored specs include a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with Quad HD resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio, and Android 8.0 Oreo. Previous reports also claimed the next Nokia flagship would cost €750, slightly less than many other similar devices available on the market.
