Nokia 2 Android 8.1 Oreo beta now available for download

HMD promised that Nokia 2 will be updated directly to Android 8.1 Oreo in June. Those who purchase the entry-level smartphone will be pleased to know the Finnish company is one step closer to fulfilling its promise to Nokia 2 owners.

Starting today, Nokia 2 users who want to test Android 8.1 Oreo before the new version of the operating system gets released to everyone, can do so via Nokia Mobile Beta Labs. Keep in mind that in order to be able to download the Android 8.1 Oreo Beta, you will have to register your Nokia 2 IMEI number.

Although we're less than two weeks away from the end of the month, HMD has enough time to bring the final version to Nokia 2 users. And if you wonder whether or not you should expect other major Android OS updates to be released on your Nokia 2, you'll be happy to know that HMD plans to upgrade it to Android P at some point.
