New Motorola One Zoom renders leak to fill in the blanks
There is always a whiff of nostalgia when we get to write about Motorola phones, and perhaps that's what Lenovo had in mind when it acquired the company in the first place. Since the acquisition, Motorola proved that it can make excellent handsets that strike the value-for-money balance very well.

That is why we were very excited when the new One line of Motorola handsets was announced, setting itself apart with a focus on camera prowess and clean Android software. We reviewed the One Vision back in the spring whose shtick was the high-res camera. The One Action followed, with its landscape video when holding the phone in portrait mode, and we are currently putting this one through its paces.

Next in line is the Pro model of the One line, and it is rumored to be announced at the IFA 2019 expo for which we are leaving in a few short days. Also known as the Motorola One Zoom, it will be the first handset in the family with a quad camera system on the back.

Does that mean we will have both wide and telephoto zoom lens? You bet, as new renders and specs writeup leaked today on MySmartPrice, confirming the quad setup, and filled in the sensor blanks. We'll have the same main 48MP sensor as on the Vision, aided by a telephoto lens that would offer 5x hybrid zoom. To this Motorola has added a wide-angle lens, and a 3D depth-sensing camera, also known as a time-of-flight (ToF) sensor.

As for the rest of the specs the Moto One Pro (Zoom) will ship with a 6.2" OLED display with 1080p resolution, and will be powered by a Snapdragon processor, as you can see from the official promo picture below, but not of the flagship variety, rather the Snapdragon 675 octa-core processor built on Samsung's 11nm process.

Add to these up to 4GB RAM and 128GB storage, and the Zoom is shaping up to be one very intriguing midranger when it lands next month for about $400. Will it ever reach the US shores? Most likely, as Motorola has been doing global launches first lately, and bringing its phones stateside in a month or two afterwards.
