We got a new contender in the neverending "world's slimmest smartphone" race - the Huawei P6-U06, leaked by the Chinese certification body - the thingy clocks in at just 6.18 mm thickness, which is incredible by any standard.

Weight is kept in check at 120g (4.2 ounces) and the exact dimensions are 132.6 x 65.5 x 6.18mm (5.2 x 2.6 x 0.2 inches), making it one pretty elongated handset. In fact, the screen size is modest for this body length, at 4.7" 720p panel, but something had to give for the thin frame, we guess. The phone is said to be powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, have 2 GB of RAM, 8 MP camera on the back, and what seems to be a pretty resolute 5 MP front-facing cam, if the claimed specs are to be believed.

Android 4.1.2 is running the show, as can be easily guessed, but price and release date are yet unknown, though this might be one of the promised thin P series Huawei was jabbering about at CES, and is likely to see the lights in China at first, as hinted by its claimed dual SIM support.
