Lenovo S800 phone with a color translucent display debuts at a fashion show

Even if you think that phones with transparent displays don't serve many practical purposes, you'd still have to admit that they are pretty good at attention-grabbing. That's exactly what Lenovo was counting on when introducing its Lenovo S800 concept handset with a translucent display at a fashion show in Beijing.

The difference with the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness we reviewed back in February, is that the transparent screen on the Lenovo S800 is also able to show color. A few companies like TDK and Samsung have demoed such transparent OLED displays, even 14" ones.
