LG just announced a bunch of new Android smartphones that will be showcased at CES 2017 in early January: the Stylo 3 (known as Stylus 3 outside of the US), plus refreshed K series models.

The LG Stylo 3 is a large mid-range handset that runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and will likely be released by at least one major US carrier. Just like its predecessor (Stylo 2), the new phone comes with a stylus pen, though this has been improved and now features a 1.8mm diameter fiber-tip for enhanced feedback. Here are the specs of the LG Stylo 3 at a glance:

  • 5.7-inch In-cell Touch display with 720 x 1280 pixels (258ppi)
  • Octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz
  • 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of expandable storage space
  • 8 MP front-facing camera
  • 13 MP rear camera
  • 3200 mAh removable battery
  • LTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 b, g, n), Bluetooth 4.2, USB 2.0
  • Weight: 149 grams
  • Size: 155.6 x 79.8 x 7.4 mm
  • Extra: Fingerprint scanner

As for the new K series, this includes four models: K10, K8, K4, and K3. Right now, LG doesn't seem to use "2017" in the names of these handsets, which might confuse some customers, since we already have K10, K8, K4, and K3 phones - all released earlier this year. Anyway, we're glad to see that the new K10 and K8 run Android 7.0 Nougat, but not so glad to find out that the new K4 and K3 will ship with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow on board. Check out the specs of all four devices below.
