Is the Samsung S Pen useful as it is?

Is the Samsung S Pen useful as it is?
Recent leaks have shed light on some interesting developments around the upcoming Galaxy Note 9's S Pen stylus. For the first time ever, the gadget will actually have Bluetooth LE connectivity to the smartphone for reasons that are yet unknown. Some leaksters claim that the S Pen is about to receive a massive update.

The Note line has always had two things that differentiate it from the Galaxy S flagship devices — an over-the-top hardware update and the S Pen, which is unique when it comes to smartphone styli. Thanks to Wacom tech, you get great a writing feel, a floating pointer, and palm rejection out of the box.

But... are enough people using the S Pen? Did Samsung feel that it needs to give it super powers in order to prompt most of its users to take the stylus out of its slot every once in a while?

Well... Note users — do you use your S Pen?

Do you find the S Pen useful in its current form?

Yep! And I use it often!

It's also pretty good at enraging haters because it reminds them that the Note has been the best large phone in the world for years, and bitterly reminds them that their phone can only do a fraction of what it does. Dehydration from crying usually follows. BTW, it's just a coincidence that the S-Pen is the same circumference as their rectums after they read all the reviews naming the Note the best large phone.

To be honest, doing many useless things is not better than doing few useful things.

Your right, for people who uses it it is indispensable, but for people like me who doesn't even use my surface pen, there are better alternatives

the notes are obsolete garbage with low-end screens with saw teeth, slow and clumsy, and the stick is for nerds that remove the wax from the ear and the snot of the nose, is useless

@Ciro, What you think about others only shows who you are.

I use it from time to time but it’s not needed. I buy the note for its size. The wider screen is everything

I'm more interested in seeing what updates it brings to the Tab experience.

I have a good friend that is a artist that also has a note and uses it for her work. What art do you do, she draws with color pencils.

I use it with a Dex to synch to my Lenovo gaming cube and Samsung gaming monitor in the studio ... i use my note 24/7 and I always knew the pen would get better each year

Can you use that S-Pen to navigate on your Note and tell us where to submit our CV's so we can also get paid to post comments promoting Samsung products?

Now that adobe as Lightroom on my Note synced to photoshop I'm a happy camper I would have absolutely no use for an iPhone and also gave up Mac years ago

2 words: Hell yes. It’s the main reason I use the Note, and it makes the phone extremely versatile. Samsung was on to something, when they basically resurrected the stylus (not invented it...iFlock). It’s a killer tool, and I hope they never do away with it, and others follow them by making their own. Apple did a good job with the Pencil, but not allowing it to work with the iPhone is just PLAIN STUPID!

Idk...there should be a smaller pencil to work with iPhone imho...the current one with iPad, though the closest competitor to note, is a bit top heavy and big enough to be used on displays that are at-least equal to or greater than 8 inches.

I sign documents using my note. How cool is that ?

A bit less cool than signing them with the finger, which one can do on EVERY SMARTPHONE.

Good luck signing with finger as your finger covers your screen. And one minor thing. Can you grab PART of text from whatsapp or messages in a single stroke? I am just scratching the surface here. :)

And your finger signature looks nothing like your actual signature.
