Images showcase the OnePlus 11 in real life
Today has been a big day for OnePlus. Firstly, we were treated with a couple of official promo images of the company’s upcoming flagship (i.e. the OnePlus 11) courtesy of the Chinese tech giant itself. Afterwards, we received an official date for the Chinese debut of the much-anticipated device - January 4th.

The latter is very close indeed. So close in fact that the OnePlus 11 has already made its way to some lucky person’s hands. Earlier today, a couple of images showcasing the unreleased handset being used in real life were brought to light by 91mobiles.

Given the plethora of leaks, renders and the official teasers, there were no surprises. One detail that was not all that obvious until now is just how textured the back of the black version of the OnePlus 11 is. By the looks of it, the material from which the back is made has a finish that resembles sandstone.

In contrast, the back of the green OnePlus has a very glossy finish. It will be interesting to see (and feel) the material that OnePlus chose for the black version of its new flagship. However, the vast majority of customers will have to wait a bit longer to do that.

Even though the OnePlus 11 will be making its debut as early as next week (what a way to start 2023!), the official international launch will take place in February. OnePlus will be holding a dedicated event in India on February 7th, where it is likely to launch the OnePlus 11 internationally, alongside the new OnePlus Buds Pro 2.

It looks like the first months of 2023 will be very intense when it comes to Android. The OnePlus 11 will be one of the first major flagships powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. However, the Galaxy S23 is also right around the corner. The battle of the Android flagships has already begun.
