Huawei confirmed it will unveil its Mate series flagship on October 16, and promised that those who wait for its Mate 10 will not be disappointed. Rumor has it, Huawei will announce more devices next month derivative of the Mate 10.

Aside from the standard Mate 10, Huawei is expected to introduce two other smartphones, which haven't been named yet. An improved version that could be launched as Huawei Mate 10 Pro has the codename Blanc, while the slightly less-powerful Mate 10 Lite (or whatever its name) is known as Alps.

The standard Huawei Mate 10 is only known by its codename (Marcel), as little about its specs have been leaked until now. That being said, Evan Blass has a more info on the other two Mate 10 variations that Huawei plans to introduce in October: Mate 10 Pro and Mate 10 Lite.

The so-called Blanc, or Huawei Mate 10 Pro, is said to flaunt a large 5.99-inch IPS LCD display with Quad HD (1440 x 2880 pixels) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The phone will boast an impressive dual-camera setup comprising of 20-megapixel and 12-megapixel sensors.

The dual camera will feature Leica lens and optical image stabilization (OIS). Huawei Mate 10 Pro will also pack a secondary 8-megapixel camera on the front side. The phablet is supposed to be IP68 rated and it will include LTE Cat.16.

Hardware-wise, the Mate 10 Pro will pack Huawei's powerful Kirin 970 CPU, coupled with 6GB RAM and either 64GB or 128GB internal memory.

Finally, the phone will be powered by a 4,000 mAh battery. Although it will be announced in October, the Mate 10 Pro is expected to ship in December with Android 8.0 Oreo on board.

The second Mate 10 smartphone to be unveiled in October, Huawei Mate 10 Lite, also known as Alps, has a slightly smaller 5.88-inch display with 2560 x 1440 pixels resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio.

Just like the other two Mate 10 models, it will be equipped with a Kirin 970 processor, 4GB RAM, and 64GB internal memory. However, the Mate 10 Lite will feature LTE Cat.12 instead and will ship in late October.

Last but not least, the Mate 10 Lite (or Huawei Alps) comes with the same camera configuration as the Mate 10 Pro, so expect the same Leica-branded dual-camera setup on this one as well.
