High-end Honor 8 Pro to be announced at MWC 2017
Honor is reportedly planning to announce a new smartphone at MWC 2017 later this month. According to Russian website Hi-Tech, the handset will be called Honor 8 Pro, being an international version of the Honor V9 (which should be officially showcased in China on February 21).

Unlike the regular Honor 8 and the Honor 8 Lite, which are mid-range smartphones, the Honor 8 Pro is a high-end device.

Powered by an octa-core 2.4 GHz Kirin 960 processor, the Honor 8 Pro sports a pretty large 5.7-inch Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) display, and runs Android 7 Nougat. The handset comes with up to 6 GB of RAM, up to 128 GB of expandable storage space, and a 3900 mAh battery. The phone seems to have the same dual 12 MP rear camera found on the regular Honor 8, plus an 8 MP front-facing camera. Moreover, there's a fingerprint scanner on the back.

The Honor 8 Pro should look just like the V9 (pictured below), but will obviously not have China Mobile's logo on the back. It's said that the new phone will be released sometime in March. For now, we don't know if Honor plans to launch the 8 Pro in North America, but we'll let you know when we find out.
