Honor has just confirmed that its next mid-range Android smartphone, the Honor 7X will be unveiled on October 11. The handset will be launched in China initially, but a global roll-out is expected to commence soon afterward.

At the moment, it's unclear whether or not the smartphone will be introduced in the United States, but the Honor 6X made its debut in the country early this year, so there's a high chance the Honor 7X will be available in the US as well.

Since the Honor 7X has been recently certified in China, we know quite a bit about the upcoming smartphone such as the fact that it will sport a 5.5-inch display with full HD (1080p) resolution.

On the inside, the Honor device is rumored to pack a Kirin 670 processor, 4GB RAM, and 64GB internal memory. Also, a 12-megapixel dual-camera setup might be included on the back side, but there's no info on the selfie camera.

Other highlights of the phone that haven't been confirmed yet, include USB Type-C port, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and Android 7.1 Nougat OS.

Rumor has it, the Honor 7X will be available for purchase in China for around $225 (32GB) and $270 (64GB), respectively. It remains to be seen when exactly the smartphone will hit the shelves.
