Honor 6X will be available for just $199 later today (Update: Sold out)

Announced last week at CES 2017, the Honor 6X is an interesting smartphone, as it's offering an attractive set of features for just $249.99 (unlocked). While the handset won't be properly launched before January 15, Honor will sell a limited number of units today, January 11, for just $199.99 a piece.

In order to buy the 6X for $199.99, you must register over at Honor's official US website (see the source link below) to receive a coupon via email. Starting at 12:00 pm CST today, you'll be able to use the coupon and get $50 off the phone's price. Mind you, this will be a flash sale, so you should try to make your purchase at, or shortly after 12:00 pm.

Made out of metal, the Honor 6X sports a 5.5-inch 1080p display, and is running Android 6 Marshmallow at launch (with an update to Android 7 Nougat coming later this year). You can take a closer look at the new smartphone in our Honor 6X hands-on.

Update: Honor reached out to let us know that the 6X sold out within 25 minutes from the start of the flash sale.

should be priced $199 from the start...
redmi 4 prime have similar specs (3GB RAM, 32GB storage, FHD, bigger battery, similar CPU core type and clock, and probably better GPU) is much cheaper than $199

I'm biased because I've had my Redmi Note 4 two days ago, with a budget of around USD200 I coul've bought a Huawei P9 Lite with local warranty or get the RN4 from China. I've chosen the riskier route because 16GB and MALI T830-MP2 just don't cut it for USD230.

Redmi Note 3 Pro is better then RN4/Redmi Pro, S650/652 are fantastic.

Sold out in 25 minutes...but how many units did they have exactly for the flash sale?

By announcing the time it took to sell out, it makes me feel like they're trying to gloat a bit. And it just brings back memories of when Google's Nexus 6 sold out within seconds of pre-orders going live; never did we get an official amount...for all we know, they could have only had a dozen or so of each color available.

I tried to place an order at 1:03 an it was sold out already. Sounds like an advertising or if you ask me. We'll you didn't get it at $200 but hey you can buy it at $250. I say F U Huawei for not giving anyone a chance. You could have at least given people 10 minutes. You couldn't even register at their site before 1PM because the sign up was down.
