Galaxy S8 and S8+ leak again, covered by various screen protector designs
Samsung will be unveiling the Galaxy S8 and S8+ in about three weeks, and, just as expected, it can't seal the floodgates of leaks and tips coming our way that showcase the phone's design and some even flaunt it in working condition. The latest set of Galaxy S8 pictures comes courtesy of a screen protector maker, who for understandable reasons has desired to remain anonymous, and even pixelized their face reflection while taking the shots.

Let's not forget that the first real idea of what the S8 will look like came from two leaked screen protectors as well, so those companies might really be getting first dibs on Galaxy S8 dummies or prototypes so that they can test their wares before launch, as there will be no flat version this time around, and curved glass is harder to make right. If that's the case, the design you see below must be pretty close to the actual retail units, at least in term of size and exterior elements.

We can clearly see the two iris scanning cameras on the right of the earpiece, then the front camera, light and proximity sensors, as well as the notification light on the left of it, and the SIM tray lid up top. There is one more opening at the top, which is probably the second mic, and the bottom houses the USB-C port, another microphone, and a speaker grill. The dedicated Bixby button on the left is visible, too, but the key takeaway here is that we are seeing the S8 and S8+ next to each other, and can grasp pretty well the size of these phones, which seems to be rather compact for their rumored 5.8" and 6.2" screen diagonals, curved flexible displays or not.

To be honest, I wish the leaks would stop. There is a new damn leak everyday. Let's not kill the hype. However, it was smart for Samsung to release the leaks prior to G6 preorders.

Once that G6 was officially announced Samsung had to start the leaks to try to hold off as many people as they could from buying the G6...

We are "assuming" its Samsung doing the leaking? Wait, you both are outright accusing them of leaking this, but you have no proof of it?

It's not far-fetched to think Samsung may have something to do with the leaks.

Come on... We know who is behind this... First they say please don't leak the s8... Then it's leaked.. If samsung really wanted to keep it under wraps they could have...

It would actually be very smart strategy on Samsung's part to have leaked some of that info right before the G6. To think that there is no way they would do that is a little bit naive.

this is pretty boring already, tbh i don't open the leaks anymore, they are all the same to me.

I'm going to buy the S8, without a doubt. So I'm honestly really enjoying the leaks. I like getting brief glimpses of my future toy =).

while Im on the fence about the whole leak conspiracy it kinda shows in how the S8 is trending higher than the G6 and a lot of the newly released phones from MWC on GSMArena

It's kinda funny how some said the lg g6 with its rounded corners and 18.9 screen was just a gimmick but it's seems like the gs8 is doing the very same thing wasn't a gimmick after all was it ?

Who are those some? Even the hardcore Samsung fanboys wouldn't dare to criticize the 2:1 aspect ratio on the G6 because they knew the S8 will be shipped with one.

Oh no Samsung fans iam one of them I love my s7 edge I'm talking about writers and YouTube techies you can watch videos and read about the g6 and even do they love the screen they say it's just a gimmick because 18.9 or 2.1 is just a gimmick which maybe it's not widely used yet but it will be very soon

Again, I've seen dozens of G6 videos, and not single reviewer did say such thing. Matter of fact, EVERY video I watched said that the number one thing they loved about the G6 was the screen and the 2:1 aspect ratio.

Honestly I haven't heard that take. I really think the G6 is gorgeous; especially in black. But, unlike a lot of people in the blog posts, I love the curved edge on the Galaxy devices. The Note 7 was a work of art and felt wonderful in the hand. Sorry to have to depart with it (twice). This will certainly make a worthy replacement.

I'm one that does not. It just takes away from the experience and adds no value! Why bend my corners? What problem does it solve. Looking at these leaks make the S8 look like a melted G6. The G6 has the small bezels and the nice flat surface and glass back. LG got it right! As I e said before, the 2016 chip will be the only thing that hurt it.

It's beautiful. I think it's just the right time for Samsung to redesign their Galaxy S series.

With the Note 7 Fiasco, Samsung may sell more of the S model this year then they could have every imagined. I really don't think e 10 - 12 mil unit estimate is going to be enough. I usually go with the Note but will only go with the S8 because the Note is so far away now. If the S8 is any improvement on the Note 7 (battery not withstanding) this beauty is going to be worth every bit of the wait.

I know some folks are going to get ticked off for what I'm continuing to state, but I'm sorry, I will never see the use of the edged design (besides it being just for looks, and even that's not enough of a justification to keep choosing this design), this is asking to be dropped, not even cases out there doesn't cover the edges for obvious reasons, what is protected by the case is the small bezels, that's it. And not even that can keep this device from being cracked. https://plus.google.com/101948892129570871559/posts/iB71M1xVfym And here is a response to me from this post about the S8 below. https://plus.google.com/+Pocketnow/posts/HvLSpZexSrq Here's the quote. "+Tech Girl90‚Äč I agree 100%. Mines (Galaxy S7 Edge) dropped with a $30 spigen case and the edge still cracked." I think it makes zero sense for Samsung to continue to use this design choice. Note: this device I'm not even considering for purchase, so keep the "don't like it, don't buy it" comment to yourself, I'm sharing my thoughts whether it's agreed upon or not, and will continue to do so.

Another one of those I hate Samsung and their phones, but I will always follow their news and post the same comments over and over again. Flash news, that one person who agreed with you, is a tiny drop in an ocean when compared to the tens of millions who bought the Note Edge, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+, S7, Note 7, and are planning to get the S8. It makes sense to you because you want them to fail, it makes sense to them because it has been proven that Edge screen phones brought bigger success to Samsung.

25. TechGirl90 unregistered

I actually don't want Samsung to fail, that is not what I'm implying, that's your interpretation of my comment concerning this matter, that is not my agenda, and even IF I did want Samsung to fail (Which I don't), I'll have to do more than just commenting on a thread. I do however want Samsung to have a tough competition this year.

True that you can't affect their success, but you hope they fail, and that was my point. You can't claim the opposite when you never turned down a chance to post your negative comments. I for example, don't see myself buying an Apple device again, but you don't see me hating on their products on every article, because I am not brainwashed into believing that my favorite OEM is perfect and that I should go and troll every other OEM on their articles.

"True that you can't affect their success, but you hope they fail, and that was my point. " Your point is moot, because like I said in my initial response towards you, I don't want Samsung to fail, I want them to have a tough competition this year, that's your false interpretation of my comment, that is not what I'm implying. "I for example, don't see myself buying an Apple device again, but you don't see me hating on their products on every article, " I'm not hating, I just have a different opinion than you, and I respect that you don't go on every iPhone Article and state a controversal opinion, I'm different though, there's alot of Device's that I don't consider, but that doesn't mean I'm personally going to hold my peace just because I'm not buying that device. "because I am not brainwashed into believing that my favorite OEM is perfect and that I should go and troll every other OEM on their articles." Brainwashed: make (someone) adopt radically different beliefs by using systematic and often forcible pressure. LG is not forcing me to have a preference for their Products, I made that choice, they didn't force feed it to me, if they did, I wouldn't currently have an HTC 10 as my device due to LG's poor performance of trying to rectify the bootloop issue that occurred in their LG G4, LG v10, some of the G5's, this bothered me so I took a pause from LG, but like you implied, you think I believe LG is perfect, or any OEM for that matter. Trolling: make a deliberately offensive or provocative online post with the aim of upsetting someone or eliciting an angry response from them. I'm not here to deliberately provoke an emotion out of anybody, it's up to that individual to control their emotions, I didn't cause that negative emotion to fester. It's clear that you don't agree with me, and that's fine, but don't expect me to reconsider how I feel about this design choice.
