Galaxy Note 9 teasers prove Samsung can't stop throwing shade at Apple
But unless you’ve been living under a (remote) rock, and as long as you’re into Android powerhouses, you’re probably hyped up from all the recent leaks. Basically, we already know everything there is to know about the subtly refined, supercharged, juiced-up, and possibly overpriced Samsung Galaxy Note 9, not to mention its radically improved S Pen companion.
Battery life, storage space, and system speed are the focus of three new Unpacked event teasers, uploaded to Samsung’s official YouTube account earlier today. The short 30-second videos are not as obvious in their Apple-taunting efforts as the “Ingenius” series, but make no mistake, those are (disguised) iPhones being mocked for weak battery life, insufficient storage space, and sluggish performance.
The new ads certainly hit the mark in terms of entertainment value, also making a few decent enough points about the key weaknesses of some of the world’s most popular handsets. But ironically, arguably the best of the three clips could be easily turned around on Samsung.
“A lot” can definitely “change in a day”, and August 9 will most likely bring a Galaxy Note 9 with a massive 4,000 mAh battery. But why did we have to wait so long for a hefty, non-explosive cell on a large and relatively sleek Samsung flagship? Remember, the Note 8 packs a not-so-great 3,300 mAh battery.
