Now, if you've used a Samsung phone for a while, or even the Note 8 itself, you are probably quite used to its main features. Let apps decide whether they'll auto hide navbars or enter immersive mode. It's a bane to swipe just to access navbars everytime. You got a tall display, you have a small estate to lose. And that #1 feature looks cumbersome. It may get you accidental exits. But whatever, YMMV.

I'd defitnetly rock out with the bottom nav bar hidden, it's nice how you can just force touch the bottom to go back home without pulling the nav bar up if you have it hidden. No nav bar= even more screen space, and no chance of nav bar burn in ever

So many cool things done by the Note 8, simply the best most feature packed device out there. I'm constantly discovering new things it can do.

I am expecting to pick it up soon - so seeing these tips and tricks is great. Handled it myself at the local best buy and I must say I was blown away by it, To me this is the best phone out for 2017 and 2018 bar none. The S8 was also nice for its feel in hand but the Note 8 just in a league of it's own. For me this is the phone to get as it ticks off all the boxes I have.

Exactly. They sure are putting out a lot of articles about a phone they gave an 8.9 to, meanwhile the new old old iPhone & Pixels get a 9.2 & a 9. SMH.

What is your plans for case/screen protector combo? I was gonna go with the Whitestone dome glass protector and this Nilkin thin fit case https://www.amazon.com/Nillkin-Protective-Anti-Scratch-Anti-Slip-Samsung/dp/B074WXS6WW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1508257845&sr=8-1&keywords=nillkin+note+8 Combo of these two should provide pretty good protection unless your phone is slammed on the floor somehow Whitestone dome glass is $45 but better $45 versus potentially $200 bucks for screen replacement lol

I recall he said he'll be grabbing this trishield case: https://www.mybccase.com/collections/samsung-note-8-cases/products/tssn80202_il?variant=44229794819 I grabbed it too, but the screen protector that comes in the box doesn't cover the entire screen. So, I also grabbed this Incipio plex screen protector: https://www.incipio.com/cases/smartphone-cases/samsung-smartphone-cases/samsung-galaxy-note-8-cases/plex-rx-samsung-galaxy-note-8-screen-protector.html As expected, based on using the Incipio screen protector on my Surface Pro 2, my S-Pen leaves no marks on it.

Don't worry, we believe you. 2 posts, and I bet both are bashing the Note 8.

I wonder which one he is. You just know he's a second (or third, or fourth) account from one of the usual trolls. You can hear the pain of the Note 8 dominating everything in his post.

Some may see it as a gimmick, but I'm really loving the Edge screen. It gives me quick access to a wide range of tools which I can customize and re-order to my licking, even when my Note 8 is locked! Want to quickly do some calculations, simply pull up the Calculator edge panel at the lock screen. Need a compass or ruler to do a quick measurement, simply pull the Quick Tools edge panel. Want to quickly get weather status and forecast, simply pull up the Weather edge panel. And that's all while the screen is locked. When unlocked, I gain handy time-saving functions like a system wide clipboard manager that's accessible with just a swipe, quick access to a pair of apps (e.g. Banking + Caculator), etc.
