Fossil Gen 5 smartwatches leaked ahead of August 5 announcement
Tomorrow, August 5, is a big day for Fossil, as the company confirmed in a tweet it will unveil its 5th generation of smartwatches, which are likely to be available for purchase by the end of the month.

If you don't mind some spoilers, we have information about two of the upcoming smartwatches thanks to Reddit user qwertx21 who was able to take a picture of them. Moreover, the picture leaked comes with a handful of details about the specifications of the smartwatches that will be revealed tomorrow.

From what we're seeing in the picture, it looks like there's one smartwatch aimed at men and another one for women. However, they are both powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 3100 chipset, paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory.

The list of specs contains mentions of a heart rate sensor and mic/speaker combo, but that's about all we know for the moment. There's no info about price, but these will probably cost around $250-$300 at launch.

The source of the leak also claims Fossil plans to release even more smartwatches towards the end of August, so these two are just the tip of the iceberg.
