First camera samples from the Sony C650X Odin 5-incher leak
We were trying to dig up some more information about the 13 MP Exmor RS rear camera that is supposed to make a cameo on the back of Sony's new Odin and Yuga flagships, when we came across to these recent postings on Picasa you can see in the slideshow below.
While the images are either snapped with one of the low-res camera settings meant for emailing/MMS, or shot with the front-facing cam, the EXIF data shows they are taken with a Sony C6502 and C6503 device, which are the internal codes for the Odin handset. We already had a leaked shot taken with the Sony C6603 Yuga last month.
Bear in mind that the IR blaster-laden Odin is what is rumored to appear in the US, with maybe T-Mobile picking it up, whereas the watertight Yuga C6603 version is said to be the global edition of Sony's upcoming 5" flagship with a Full HD 1920x1080 WhiteMagic display.
One of the pictures is from an album that has "SEMC" in the title, which used to stand for Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications, so there is a good chance these are indeed taken in a Sony office with the upcoming Odin handset.
While none of the pics represents the true abilities of the 13 MP Exmor RS sensor, they prove that where there's smoke there's fire, and the C650X/C660X Sony Odin/Yuga flagship exists, and we hope it will be announced in January at CES 2013 for arrival in the spring.
