Case-Mate Barely There Brushed Aluminum Samsung Galaxy S III case hands-on
Yet again, another razor sharp looking case for the Samsung Galaxy S III has come across our desk – and boy does it exude a sense of premium with its construction. By now, we’re fairly accustomed to knowing that Samsung’s smartphones boast an all-plastic construction, which isn’t a bad thing per se, but there are some of us yearning for higher quality materials. Thankfully, there are cases out there that splash that desirable sense of premium finish to the venerable smartphone.

Landing in our list of fancy cases for the Samsung Galaxy S III, there’s very good reason why Case-Mate’s Brushed Aluminum Barely There case is on the list. Sporting a premium price tag of $40, some people will undoubtedly be taken by surprise with its hefty tow. However, it’s looking to redeem itself thanks to the razor sharp appearance it’s boasting – combined with its protective nature of course. So here we go people, let’s take a closer look at this beauty!

Got to agree. The plastic-y materials that Sammy is using on the GS III just don't give me much confidence the phone will last for the duration of a 2 year contract.

I LOVE Casemate! They make the best cases. I've had at least one for any device in the family they make them for. Love them all!

I only do Otter Box. I paid $22 for mine on Amazon and its worth every single cent. If it wasn't for Otter Box, I'd walk around with Case Mate without a doubt.

It would be nice if on the parts where there was a cut out like the power and volume buttons it had rubber inserts that made it so they stuck out and were not so hard to use. I had cases like this befor and I think especially for that price the cheap addition of rubbery to give a good range of use from the buttons would be nice.

Design 9/10 Ease of use 8/10 Actual protection 6/10 The case looks great but won't protect the phones top and bottom bezel since they're left exposed. OtterBox does it for me. Their white commuter series really looks great. http://m.otterbox.com/Samsung-Galaxy-S3-Commuter-Series/SAM4-GALAXY-S3,default,pd.html?dwvar_SAM4-GALAXY-S3_color=20&start=2&cgid=samsung-galaxy-s3-cases
