CNN app for Android phones is now available for free in the Market
A few months ago CNN published an app for Honeycomb tablets in the Android Market, and now the news giant has released a similar application for smartphones powered by Android version 2.1 or above.

Some of the main features of the app include live videos, the option to receive breaking news notifications directly to your homescreen, access to CNN's iReport, widget customization that makes it easier to read content that's important to you and CNN Radio.

The app is already available for free in the Android Market. We don't doubt that its arrival will be greeted with a smile by the majority of Android smartphone users - after all, a lot of people appreciate the fact that we can always stay informed thanks to our phones.
