Apple turns to a fashion model to help launch its smartwatch?
Apple has shown a desire to have its smartwatch considered as more than just another piece of technology. Apple had the Apple Watch unveiling viewed by fashion editors and bloggrs, and has had the timepiece displayed in France during Fashion Week. Last week, Chinese fashion model Liu Wen posted a picture on her Instagram page, showing a red-banded Apple Watch around her wrist. The caption read, "My second meeting with the #AppleWatch, this time in Colette! The first time? Well, you'll see soon."

This would seem to be a hint that Wen has been employed by Apple to model the device in print or television ads. The 26 year old model is the fifth-highest paid model in the world, representing a large number of famous fashion brands.

Apple apparently is hoping to have the Apple Watch adorn the wrists of techies and fashionistas alike. This could be an interesting move on the company's part. For Wen, being the face of Apple's smartwatch is sure to bring the model more fame and fortune. And an Apple Watch, to boot.

Let the haters hate, while we enjoy our purchases, and Apple makes the products people love. Post 1, and 3 are classic examples.

Could you explain how my post is a classic example of hate, darkkjedii?

and again apple needs help telling the world you have to have this or your not cool, its fashion not function

I dont think Apple has any problems selling their devices... in contrary, Samsung, Windows, and others use Apple products to promote their own in print ads as well as TV commercials

its funny 7 out of 10 apple people have no idea how to back up contacts and content to the cloud or transfer contacts from old iphone to new. thats just sad. dumb little people.

You think those people will have better luck with Android? At least there's Apple store with real people ready to assist with small or big questions and repairs/upgrading/accessories/etc. Most Android Users I know are teenage girls and older folks who bought it for bigger screen - and honestly have no idea how to find settings at all...

Well then stop surrounding yourself with teenage girls and old folks. Infact, I can say quite the opposite. Teenagers love to show-off that logo on the back and guess what I have proof to back that up:http://www.phonearena.com/news/Nearly-half-of-U.S.-teens-have-an-iPhone-62-plan-to-get-one_id41733 Stereotype generalizing won't get you far. Come up with a better argument.

This is your proof? So nearly half the teens have iPhones, what does the other half of teens have then? But are you dissing the ipjone because it's popular? Nothing in that article says that they bought it to be cooler than other kids - is possible they buy it because they like ios?

lol....Now since I demolished your claim claim of 'Most Android Users I know are teenage girls' you are refusing to believe the evidence. You're as predictable as it comes. Since you're questioning the fact that they didn't buy them look cooler but just because they 'like'. Let me ask you one, what proof do you have when you say '[Android users] honestly have no idea how to find settings at all' ?

In the eyes of iSheep, even those failures are the pinnacle of fashion...

29. AlikMalix unregistered

Why do you keep calling me - an Apple Consumer - an iSheep? That's who you're referring to, right? ...a person who buys and prefers Apple Devices?

No, a person who follows the iHerd just because it's cool and has no idea about how badly Apple is ripping them off. You're probably not the best example, since you're on PA and actually know something about technology, but the general population of iUsers follows the brainwashed mindset that everything Apple makes is perfect and better than anything else...

Since they lost the tech war, they started to speak more and more about "fashion", "premium" bendable materials, and "design". Like hairdressers. The bad news is that last iPhones are ugliest iPhones Apple ever made. Apple Watch design is mediocre too. Now they count ONLY on the apples propaganda and the menial media.(for proofs , see this article)

Those ugly iPhones seems to be selling like hotcakes. A lot more than any android flagship. That Apple watch will also be the most sold smartwatch next year. Does that make you upset broski?

Come on. Even you izombies know that this "selling like hotcakes" was just organized upgrade of iPhone users. This Ritual we see every year. We know that you don't care of anything but the logo. And could worship any iBS
