Presence of fashion magazines at Apple's September 9th event hints at iWatch unveiling this Tuesday
Besides the usual media names that will be attending Apple's September 9th event, Apple has invited a particular group of writers and bloggers that normally don't receive an invite to the annual unveiling of the iPhone. That would be those editors and journalists in the fashion industry. It is believed that inviting top fashion editors to Tuesday's event, is an indication that the long awaited Apple iWatch will be revealed alongside the 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch Apple iPhone models. Also rumored to be released on Tuesday is the Apple iPad Air 2, and a revamped Apple iPad mini with Retina display.

But it is with the iWatch that Apple has the opportunity of recapturing the innovation mojo that left the company following the 2010 introduction of the Apple iPad. This will be the first new product to come out of Apple since the death of Steve Jobs, and as such, it is important for the company to show the world that Apple still has fuel in the innovation gas tank.

In other years, Apple would hold a special event for fashion editors in New York so that they could review the new iPhone from a design perspective, and interview the team in charge of creating that design. This year, fashion editors and blogs will be sitting right next to the tech writers, each with their own slant on things.

Unlike a smartphone or a tablet, which you wouldn't really consider to be a fashion accessory, watches have long been considered part of the fashion industry. Therefore, the fact that Apple is inviting the fashion press to Tuesday's event is a strong indication that we will see the iWatch unveiled on September 9th. As far as the actual launch is concerned, we still might not see the product available to consumers until 2015.
