After weeks of leaks and rumors, the Oppo R9s and R9s Plus are now both official
As expected thanks to the numerous leaks we passed along over the last several weeks, the Oppo R9s and the Oppo R9s Plus have both been unveiled today. The Oppo R9s features a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920. The handset is driven by the Snapdragon 625 SoC carrying an octa-core CPU and the Adreno 506 GPU. 4GB of RAM is inside along with 64GB of internal storage. A microSD slot is available for those seeking additional storage. Keeping the lights on is a 3010mAh battery, and Oppo's own VOOC rapid charging system is included. Android 6.0 is pre-installed.

The Oppo R9s Plus comes with a 6-inch AMOLED display with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. The just announced Snapdragon 653 SoC is under the hood, just as AnTuTu said it would be. This includes an octa-core 1.95GHz CPU and the Adreno 510 GPU. 6GB of RAM is inside along with 64GB of internal storage. A microSD slot is available for those seeking additional storage. A 4000mAh battery keeps the hamster wheel spinning, and VOOC means that the cell will charge quickly. Android 6.0 is pre-installed.

The two new handsets also feature a 16MP rear-facing camera, and a 16MP front-facing camera. Both sport Sony's IMX398 sensor, which is making its debut on these new models; the Oppo R9s and Oppo R9s Plus also both sport a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button of each model. And near the top and bottom of the back cover you will find a new slot antenna design. It rids the phones of those unsightly antenna lines and prevents the user's hands from interfering with the signal.

The Oppo R9s will go on sale October 28th, priced at the equivalent of $410 USD. The Oppo R9s Plus will be available in December, priced at the equivalent of $520 USD.

Nothing special and where is the super vooc 15 min charging feature that oppo showcase at ces. Oneplus 3 still much better than this.

It wont be ready until 2017 or 2018. Even huawei has a 5 min charging. But none of them will be ready until an year or 2.

I hope you are able to use it on Verizon. Honestly, the chances of it working on Verizon are zero to none. One of the reasons I left the carrier. If they don't like the brand or able to preload it with bloat ware, is not for them.

Also R9s dont has OIS and dual led flash.Where as R9s plus has both of them. Why Oppo intentionally dont give OIS in R9s.I wants OIS but not a 6inch screen phone.
