Oppo R9s images surface and reveal a new slot-antenna design on the back
Just yesterday, specs for the Oppo R9s were leaked on AnTuTu's Weibo site. Oppo has already sent out invitations for an October 19th event during which the Oppo R9s will be unveiled. Oppo's website shows a countdown timer clicking down toward the unveiling of the phone. This morning, some more new images of the Oppo R9s have appeared, displaying its slot-antenna design system.

Oppo itself posted on its Weibo page today that the handset will sport this slot-antenna design, which can be clearly seen on the images that accompany this story. There are three thin slots that run horizontally under the rear camera, and just above the bottom of the back cover. With the slot-antenna design, handling the phone won't cause a problem with the signal. It also eliminates unsightly antenna lines that mar the look of some handsets.

Both back and front-facing cameras on the Oppo P9s weigh in at 16MP. With an aperture of f/1.7, users will be able to take quality photos even under low-light conditions. Both cameras are the first to employ Sony's new IMX398 sensor. Another great feature is Oppo's own Super VOOC rapid charger. This provides up to 10 hours of talk time after just 5-minutes of charging. It also will fill a 2500mAh battery in only 15-minutes.

The Oppo R9s is already available to be reserved at the phone's official web page. You can get there by clicking on the sourcelink. Unlike pre-orders, no money changes hands, and there is no obligation to buy the phone. The reservations simply allow the consumer to buy the device via a flash sale.
