Acer Liquid E1 set to launch this month in Taiwan
We first brought the Acer Liquid E1 to your attention in January and it was officially introduced the following month. Now, the phone is expected to launch this month in Taiwan for 8900 TWD ($299 USD). U.K. retailer Expansys has also priced the dual-SIM version of the handset with the tag reading 174.99 GBP ($265 USD). The smartphone is expected to be offered in France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Russia and the Ukraine.

The Acer Liquid E1 is equipped with a 4.5 inch LCD screen with qHD resolution. It all works out to a 245ppi pixel density. A dual-core 1GHz processor is under the hood and there is 1GB of RAM on board. The 4GB of native storage can be expanded thanks to the microSD slot and the front and rear-facing cameras weigh in at 5MP and .3MP respectively. A 1760mAh battery powers up the handset which has Android 4.1.1 installed out of the box. There is no LTE connectivity, but there are two color options: black or white.

Also expected to launch this month is the Acer Liquid Z2. This is an entry-level phone featuring a 3.5 inch screen with resolution of 320 x 480 and a 165ppi pixel density. A single-core 1GHz processor drives the device while 512MB of RAM is on board. A microSD slot is available to expand storage, and the unit is powered with a 1300mAh cell. A 5MP camera is on back and the model offers FM radio capabilities. So far, there has been no pricing for the Acer Liquid Z2 which will launch with a dual-SIM option and Android 4.1 installed. This model, like the Liquid E1, does not offer LTE connectivity.
