Samsung Galaxy H7 and Galaxy H1 coming soon?
Samsung recently filed a couple of trademark applications for new smartphone names - Galaxy H1 and Galaxy H7 - indicating that it might soon launch a new series of handsets. Both trademark applications were filed in South Korea with the Korean Intellectual Property Office.

At the moment, there's no way of telling if the H1 and H7 names will be used for commercial products. However, if that's going to happen, these will certainly be Android-based devices (since the Galaxy brand is exclusively reserved for Samsung's Android line-up). Of course, these could also be tablets, or different products.

As you may already know, since last year Samsung introduced no less than three new series of smartphones: Galaxy A (including premium, metal-made handsets like the Galaxy A7, Galaxy A5, and Galaxy A3), Galaxy E (including the Galaxy E5 and Galaxy E7), and Galaxy J (including the low-end Galaxy J1).

P.S.: The smartphone pictured above is the Samsung Galaxy A5.

You mean after all the letters of the alphabet? What is the next letter?
If your going to attempt to call Samsung out at least make sure you know what your saying.

Very true, but he was trying to insult Samsung IN ENGLISH. I'm not being a a**, if the dude is gonna call someone out at least know what he is saying. I can see if he was talking about different alphabets but from Samsung's new single letter lines, they have all been from the Latin alphabet.

He was just making a joke: when they'll run out of letters in the latin alphabet, they'll switch to another one...

I don't understand how you can get upset for that...

Lol.. really.. was that an insult???? i didn't know and i didn't mean it. Sorry if it looked like that but my intention was it to be a joke.

That's the problem with Samsung. Instead of building a few dedicated smartphones that define the experience and brand value, it always end up in greed.

Churning out more nonsensical line of phones is going to dilute their range and people no longer take Samsung seriously these days when they say they are gonna concentrate on lesser phones.

That is already made by iPhone.

Oh, short or low profile means short names and not less phones.

No Sammy.

For all we know it would be part of their tablet series, or they are adding another line to the low end. Only the J series is for the low-end, maybe they are doing 2 lines for each section. High- S & Note Series, Midrange- A & E Series, Low- J and H Series. Chill out guys.

Well, Samsung has done it (launched a lot of smartphones) by years. And as is the largest manufacturer of smartphones in the world , prove that his strategy has worked.

This does nothing to their profit margins. As a result their biggest expenses are their operating and marketing expenses. It would take Samsung to sell 150 million phones per quarter to 75 million iPhones to generate the same level of branding and profitability.

Apple could sell put lipstick on a pig and sell it as iPhone. It will still sell 40m units.

And still make more than Android combined...what good is market share with nothing to show forth for long term growth, investment, and greater opportunity? If Apple sold 200 million iPhones a year while Android sold 1 billion a year it would mean nothing but a more popular OS. When you operate business you are in it to make profit then grow. Not grow without profit.

Samsung! You're creating more "consumer confusion". Just stick with the high end market. Catering to low end market, mid market, and high end market does not represent consistency on which consumer you are targeting. I can't figure out the type of company you are. There is no such thing is "catering to the mass".

Do you think my elder aunt knows which model is her Samsung? Nope. She ask for the name "Samsung" and the cheapest price for it. It's a crap from my opinion but for her it is fine (just calling and taking some pictures looking at a big crappie screen).

I'd like to know just who in this comments section knows anything at all about running a MULTI-BILLION dollar business, who target consumers GLOBALLY and have multiple divisions of their company that manufacture, market, and develop for different industries.

Please state which post-secondary you attended studying business and what company you currently run, or are in charge of right now, as well as how many years of relevant experience to at least the mobile technology industry that you have.

Personally, I have no experience running a company at all, let alone a multi-billion dollar one, which is why I keep my mouth shut and don't spew my uneducated opinion of how I should run a company that is larger than most in the world.

This is PHONE ARENA, not "I-think-I-can-run-a-business-better-than-anyone-Arena". Let's keep our asshol - I mean opinions - to just the products that these companies release instead of their marketing and business decisions, because I doubt anyone on this website could run Samsung while keeping it profitable at all...

I think Samsung should follow approach like Motorola, moto e (tight budget phone for 130-150), moto g (budget phone for 200-250), moto x(flagship but not too expensive around 500), nexus(phablet for 650-700).
