MetroPCS to offer unlimited 4G service for as low as $40 per month
Pre-paid carrier MetroPCS has announced new no-annual contract plans for its 4G-LTE network. The carrier is offering three different levels of service, starting at $40 per month. For that price users can get unlimited talk, text and calls with unlimited YouTube access through 4G.

The $50 per month plan offers the same unlimited talk, text, browsing and YouTube access and adds International and premium text messages, MetroNAVIGATOR with turn-by-turn navigation, Screen IT, mobile IM, corporate e-mail, 1GB of additional data access and the ability to use MetroSTUDIO when on Wi-Fi to listen to and download music and to preview and sign up for trials of video content.

The $60 monthly plan has everything in the $50 plan and adds unlimited data access and MetroSTUDIO content including 18 channels of video-on-demand and audio channels. All three price levels already include taxes and regulatory fees.

MetroPCS Chairman, CEO and President Roger Lindquist said, "Our customers told us they wanted more video, more sharing of their content and more Web browsing capabilities - they want to have it all with the value and no annual contract that only MetroPCS can deliver. Our 4G LTE network can deliver unlimited voice and mobile broadband data services and, with these new service plans, consumers are in the driver's seat on how much additional data access and real-time entertainment content they want to pay for on a monthly basis."

The 4G service is available now in 9 metropolitan markets served by the carrier such as Boston, Dallas-Fort Worth, Detroit, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, Sacramento and San Francisco. Other markets expected to offer MetroPCS 4G service in 2011 include  Atlanta, Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando and Tampa.
