LG F70 LTE launching globally starting this month

Initially announced in February at MWC, the new LG F70 smartphone is now ready to be released around the world. According to LG, the handset will be available to buy in Europe starting early May - which is about now. Asia and the Americas (including North America) should get the phone shortly after that. Two color options will be available: black and white.

Running Android 4.4 KitKat, the LG F70 has LTE connectivity, and a 4.5-inch IPS display with 480 x 800 pixels (not the sharpest of screens out there, that’s for sure). The handset is powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor that’s paired with 1GB of RAM for a decent user experience. Other features include Knock Code, a 5MP rear camera with LED flash, VGA front-facing camera, microSD card support, 4GB or 8GB of internal memory (depending on market), and a 2,440mAh battery.

“The F70 possesses all the best of LG’s LTE technologies in a slim, handsome design that will appeal to millions of customers worldwide who are thinking of upgrading to 4G,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.

LG didn’t reveal the price of its new F70, but we expect the handset to be affordable anyway. To see the new smartphone in action, you should check out our LG F70 hands-on here.

I'm so pissed with LG right now!!!! This a step back from the original F7!!!! And don't get me started on the L90!!!! It's no different from the L9 and a big step back from the L9II which was actually a very solid midranger!!!! As a die hard LG fan, it makes me wanna switch up who I stan for.... Why can't anyone make devices comparable to the Moto G? Like seriously is it that hard? HTC and Asus have a good start but, ultimately I'm disappointed with LG.

Looks like LG is turning more and more into Samsung -- they are spending more money on advertising than they are on product development and quality.

They did it right last year with mid-range HD screen phone. How come LG downgrade the screen resolution with bigger phones? I am just so perplexed
