LG G2 to get Android 4.4 update in Canada near the end of next year's first quarter

LG's flagship LG G2 model will be updated to Android 4.4 late in the first quarter of 2014. That is according to LG Canada's Brand Coordination head, Court Elliot, who adds that all Canadian carriers will receive the update at the same time. However, it is not clear if that means that all carriers in the country will update their LG G2 models at once. Some operators like to test updates for a longer period of time than others.

Unfortunately for those totin' the LG Optimus G, LG Canada could not offer any information about when the former LG flagship will be updated. The model is currently running Android 4.1.2. That also happens to be the build of Android that is currently running the LG Optimus G Pro. No information on when we might see that model updated was offered by the Korean manufacturer's Canadian arm.
