HTC Rezound and LG Spectrum just $99 at Verizon online store
Both phones launched in the last few months, the Rezound starting at Verizon’s ludicrous $299 on contract for top tier Android phones, while the Spectrum launched at $199 on contract. Getting either for $99 is a steal, and shows to what extend Verizon feels it must engage in online discounts to compete with the Amazons and Best Buys of the world.
Both phones got good marks from our reviewers, so if you’ve been waiting for a price drop before pulling the trigger on a new phone there’s quite literally no time like the present.
Let us know if you plan to pick one of these up at the discounted price!

Looks like I need to go for a pricematch. I bought one of these a week ago.

verizon is quickly becoming apple and walmart; GREEDY. I don't care if the price is a penny, I still wont buy any of them. Can't wait for my contracts to expire.

How is that greedy? Companies exist to make money, and this is just a basic business strategy. These are 2 of their best phones that are not selling that well, of course they are going to drop the price. Rezound has been out a while now and the Spectrum is just not a big seller, they aren't going to let them sit on the shelves when they could be getting new contracts. If you don't want a contract, buy a used phone or full retail. I'm sure there are plenty of people that are happy they can get a great phone for $100 instead of $200-$300 like all the other good LTE phones. Besides the Nexus, these are the only other 2 current VZW phones with HD screens. I think this is a great value, I've been debating on getting the Rezound, and now I may have to.

I saw this on another website earlier today. Went to the VZW website to confirm this. So I called Verizon and told them that I was upset that the price on the Resound dropped by $100 and that I purchased the phone 13 days ago. I asked them if something could be done about it. They gave me a $50 credit on my account since I was still within the 14 day period. I payed $149 for the phone 13 days ago, which included my $50 accountholder discount. ($199 - $50= $149). It is a great gesture for them to do that. In essence I am only paying $99 for my phone. If I had waited until today I would have only payed $49 ($99 - $50 account holder discount). I can honestly say that I am extremely happy with my Resound and that the device does not always get the credit that it deserves.

How is the battery life? I'm getting the Nexus, but this Rezound looks like a great phone for my sister.

The Rezound is a great phone. however i would get an extra capacity battery for it. I do sell alot of them but people always end up getting the bigger battery for it.

I get 12 hours with normal use with my standard battery. I did pick up an extended battery since it was being sold at 50% off for $29.99. I get a day and a half with the extended battery.

Keep in mind that the memory on the Nexus can't be expanded with a micro sd card. If there is no issue with memory expansion, you will enjoy the Nexus.

They need a discount for the galaxy nexus and Droid Razr Maxx, then i'll think of upgrading. The HTC Rezound's battery is not very good from what i've been hearing from my friends.

RAZR MAXX is too new. haha. And the Galaxy Nexus will probably get a price drop soon.

All of the Razr, Nexus, and Resound get the same battery life. The settings need to be tweaked to get the best battery life. The Razr Maxx definitely gets better battery life that the other devices. I must agree with ap 1989, the Maxx probably won't be discounted soon. It was out of stock on Verizon's website a few days ago.

Buy via Amazon mobile or wait a month or two, trust me it'll go down in price.

WOW great deal for the Rezound.
That's 110% worth it because it comes with $100 Beats headphones in the box!!

It is a good deal, but the Beats headphones aren't worth the $100 they're selling them for.
15. veevans01 (Posts: 29; Member since: 09 Jan 2012)
I agree. Its a good deal combined with the phone. But is not worth $100 alone. My skull candy 50/50s sound as good as the ibeats if not a little better with the beats technology that comes on the resound.

If this phone was for T-Mobile, which it will never be, and they did this price cut I would definitely trade up to the Rezound. Or.. wait acouple months for the HTC One X....
