FCC approves low-end clamshell, for Sprint ?

FCC approves low-end clamshell, for Sprint ?

The SPH-A420 phone from Samsung has appeared on the FCC pages. The new device, operating on CDMA 800/1900MHz and AMPS 800MHz networks, is an entry-level clamshell phone with internal antenna and basic functionality. The handset shares the design of the SGH-X200 and has a similar bunch of features. The SPH-A420 sports only one internal 65k color STN display, lacking an external one for caller ID function.

The FCC images don't show the SPH-A420 with Sprint logo on it, but the model number (SPH-) and a sign, saying “Sprint Voice Command feature” hint that the phone most probably will be available from Sprint PCS.
