Android 5.0 Lollipop for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 gets previewed on video
While Samsung didn’t say when its Galaxy Note 3 would be updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop, it’s probably going to do it starting early next year (with the Note 4 likely getting the update first). Until then, if you want to know what Lollipop looks like on the Note 3, SamMobile has some screenshots and a video that show exactly this: Google’s latest version of Android running on Samsung’s Galaxy Note flagship from last year.

Assuming you’re all familiar with Android 5.0 Lollipop and TouchWiz UI, there are no surprises on the Note 3 - though we have to mention that the default green color that Google is using throughout the UI (in the settings menu, for example) has been changed to Samsung’s blue color in some places. SamMobile mentions that, at the moment, the Lollipop-meets-TouchWiz UI on the Note 3 is rather inconsistent and doesn’t really offer a good user experience. Hopefully, by the time the update is ready for Note 3 users to download, Samsung will take care of these aspects.

Not long ago, Lollipop updates for the Galaxy S5 and for the Galaxy S4 were also previewed. We’ll bring more on Samsung’s software update plans as soon as new details arrive.
