Battery Testing Methodology:

We run three in-house battery tests, measuring how much it takes to drain each phone completely with a specific use case.

Our first test, Browsing, runs a script that cycles through web pages simulating a real browsing session.

Our second test, Video streams a video playlist. Our third test, Gaming, runs a 3D game that puts the stress on the GPU of the device.

Based on these three test results, we come up with our compound Battery Score that gives you a rough estimation of the expected screen time you can get on a device.

You can also check out our Camera Scores, Display Scores and Performance Scores pages.

Battery Testing Conditions:

Battery testing conditions: 200 nits fixed brightness; 100% battery health; test conducted over Wi-Fi only; latest firmware at the time of testing.

Charging testing conditions: Charging starts from a powered-on phone with 1% battery level. Time is measured until the device reaches 100%. The factory charger is used, or in rare cases when it’s missing, a fully compatible charger verified to achieve maximum charging speeds.

All tests are performed on new devices in controlled lab environments.

Note: Real-world results may vary depending on signal strength, temperature and battery aging.
