As you’d expect from a pair of Pro earbuds, these puppies offer high-end sound out of the box. You can also adjust their audio to match your taste via the Bluetooth settings if you rock a Pixel phone or via the EQ in the Pixel Buds app if you’re using another Android-powered device.

They also have pretty solid ANC, which mutes noises in the low-frequency range—like the hum of your air conditioner—but has a hard time stopping those in the higher frequencies—like background chatter and keyboard clicks. So, while it’s good, it’s not on the level of industry leaders like the Sony WF-1000XM6, Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen), or Apple’s AirPods Pro 3.

You won’t have any issues with battery life, though, as Google’s top-of-the-line earphones deliver up to 12 hours of playtime on their own without ANC and up to eight hours with active noise canceling enabled. Add the case, and you’ll enjoy a total battery life of up to 48 hours with ANC off and up to 30 hours with it turned on.
