If you're strapped for cash but still want to buy a trendy foldable this summer, the "vanilla" Razr (2025) is clearly the device to get right now.

This is currently more attractive than the Razr (2026) thanks to a $150 Amazon discount from a $699.99 list price that unsurprisingly requires a Prime membership and is only good for two of the handset's four color options. While the e-commerce giant's Prime Day 2026 sale is supposed to run until Friday, that suggests this particular deal could go away earlier, so you might want to hurry, especially if you'd like to choose between the Pantone Parfait Pink and Pantone Lightest Sky hues.
In both cases, of course, the Motorola Razr (2025) is guaranteed to turn an impressive number of heads for such an affordable device... that's clearly not a pushover in the raw performance, screen quality, and camera versatility departments either. Obviously, the "vanilla" Razr (2026) does bring a few notable upgrades to the table over its predecessor, improving the battery life and camera performance with 4,800mAh cell capacity and a secondary 50MP rear-facing snapper, but that also raises the price tag to $799.99.
And no, the newer non-Plus and non-Ultra-branded flip phone is not available at any discount at the moment, which makes the latest and greatest Razr (2025) deal feel even more compelling for cash-strapped foldable buyers across the US.

At 150 bucks under its regular price, the MediaTek Dimensity 7400X-powered clamshell is currently just $50 costlier than an entry-level variant of the aforementioned Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE that comes with only 128GB internal storage space. The Motorola Razr (2025), meanwhile, can accommodate up to 256 gigs of data locally, but that's far from the only major advantage it holds over its main rival.
Perhaps more importantly, both the primary and secondary screens on the Razr (2025) are bigger, at 6.9 and 3.6 inches respectively, and the same goes for the 4,500mAh battery. Unfortunately, Motorola rarely keeps up with Samsung as far as long-term software support is concerned, but if you think you can live with just a couple of OS updates, the better overall budget foldable is pretty clear.
