Motorola's budget-friendly Moto G family now includes three more devices with epic battery life

In addition to the relatively high-profile Moto G87, Motorola has quietly taken the wraps off the Moto G37, G37 Power, and G47 this week as well.

For those of you keeping score at home, we've already discussed four different Motorola product announcements over the last 48 hours and now we're taking on the fifth launch... which brings together another three interesting devices (at least for the brand's cash-strapped fans across Europe).

As you can imagine, and as their names suggest, the newly unveiled Moto G37, Moto G37 Power, and Moto G47 are decidedly humbler than the Moto G87, which, of course, also means they're cheaper and thus more attractive for prospective buyers who don't need to own the best-ever cameraphone in the Moto G line.

This is the Moto G37

It doesn't take a rocket scientist or a very knowledgeable tech industry expert to figure out that the key selling point here is the G37's price tag, which sits at €249.90 in Italy, €269 in France, and £199.99 in the UK right now.

While I could obviously convert those numbers in US dollars, there's really no point in doing that, because we all know Motorola will never release such repetitive and easily forgettable Moto G-series handsets stateside.

On the old continent, the Moto G37 will try to capture the attention of bargain hunters with its 63-hour battery endurance rating (that's almost three whole days, mind you), as well as military-grade durability and a silky smooth (but not particularly sharp) display in addition to that ultra-affordable price point.

And this is the Moto G37 Power

  • 6.67-inch LCD screen with 1604 x 720 pixel resolution and 120Hz refresh rate technology;
  • MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor;
  • Android 16;
  • 4GB LPDDR4X memory;
  • 256GB internal storage space;
  • microSD card slot for up to 1TB expansion;
  • 50MP rear-facing camera with f/1.8 aperture and Quad Pixel technology;
  • 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture;
  • 7,000mAh battery;
  • 30W TurboPower charging support;
  • Stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos;
  • USB 2.0 Type-C port;
  • 3.5mm headphone jack;
  • Bluetooth 5.4, NFC;
  • IP64 water and dust resistance;
  • MIL-STD 810H durability;
  • Corning Gorilla Glass 7i screen protection;
  • 166.23 x 76.5 x 8.89mm dimensions;
  • 215 grams weight;
  • Pantone Nautical Blue, Pantone Impenetrable, and Pantone Capri color options.

There are no prizes for quickly finding the main distinction between this Power-branded mid-ranger and its "standard" sibling, but you're probably not going to guess the exact battery life promise of the Moto G37 Power.

Motorola claims this thing will be able to keep the lights on for up to an incredible 78 hours on a single relatively fast 30W charge, but in order to pull that number off, the G37 Power adds quite a bit of bulk and thickness to the non-Power Moto G37 variant. The price point is obviously higher too, but not by that much, standing at €279.90 in Italy and €299 in France... with 256 gigs of internal storage space instead of 128GB as well.

Basically, if you can live with the nearly 9mm profile and 215-gram weight, this is clearly the device to buy.

The Moto G47 is also definitely worth considering

  • 6.67-inch LCD screen with 1604 x 720 pixel resolution and 120Hz refresh rate technology;
  • MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor;
  • Android 16;
  • 8GB LPDDR4X memory;
  • 128GB internal storage space;
  • microSD card slot for up to 1TB expansion;
  • 108MP primary rear-facing camera with f/1.7 aperture and 3x lossless zoom;
  • 2MP secondary Macro Vision sensor with f/2.4 aperture;
  • 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture;
  • 5,200mAh battery;
  • 20W TurboPower charging support;
  • Stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos;
  • USB 2.0 Type-C port;
  • 3.5mm headphone jack;
  • Bluetooth 5.4, NFC;
  • IP64 water and dust resistance;
  • MIL-STD 810H durability;
  • Corning Gorilla Glass 7i screen protection;
  • 166.23 x 76.5 x 7.85mm dimensions;
  • 191 grams weight;
  • Pantone Nautical Blue, Pantone Impenetrable, and Pantone Fuchsia Red color options.

At €349 in France and €319.90 in Italy, the G47 curiously reduces the G37 Power's 256GB storage to only 128 gigs while bumping up the RAM count to 8GB. Of course, the key upgrade over both the Moto G37 and G37 Power is a 108MP main snapper, while the 2MP secondary sensor on the back is likely... largely meaningless.

Thanks to a frugal "HD+" display, the Moto G47 shines in the battery life department as well with up to 60 hours of autonomy between charges, and just like its slightly humbler and cheaper brothers, the relatively thin and impressively durable 6.67-inch handset deserves some praise for its undeniably eye-catching colorways too. I particularly like the Pantone Fuchsia Red hue, and despite its bombastic name, the Pantone Impenetrable paint job is easily the least attractive of the Moto G47, G37 Power, and G37's color options.

Will Motorola launch even more phones in the near future?

Normally, I'd answer this type of question with "I don't know", as no one can know for sure what the future holds in this very volatile mobile industry. But Motorola isn't exactly the most secretive smartphone vendor in the world, so the impending announcements of handsets like the Edge 70 Pro Plus and Edge 70 Pro Lite are just about etched in stone.

The company's 2025 roadmap also suggests a US-focused Motorola Edge (2026) mid-ranger might be right around the corner, and as far as the Moto G family is concerned, I somehow doubt the European additions are done for this year. In the second half of last year, Motorola added such models as the Moto G86 Power, G96, G06, G06 Power, G100, and G67 Power to the popular lineup, and you can probably expect sequels to all those products to arrive (in select markets) by the end of 2026.
