While I obviously don't know exactly when the Edge 70 Fusion is supposed to see daylight, its key specs and features are no longer a mystery thanks to the ultra-prolific and super-reliable Evan Blass (aka @evleaks).
Now that's what I call an upgrade!
6.78-inch AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate technology, and up to 5200 nits of brightness;
Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor;
8 and 12GB RAM options;
256GB internal storage space;
50MP LYTIA primary rear-facing camera;
32MP front-facing camera;
7,000mAh battery;
68W charging capabilities;
Corning Gorilla Glass 7i screen protection;
Quad-curved front panel;
Nylon and linen-inspired back;
Pantone Orient Blue, Sporting Green, Blue Surf, Country Air, and Silhouette color options;
MIL-STD-810H durability;
IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance;
Three guaranteed OS upgrades.
If you looked at the recently released Moto G Power (2026) and wondered exactly what was different from the 2025 edition (and if you're perhaps still wondering that to this day), don't worry, you won't encounter a similar problem with the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion, which seems like a huge improvement over its predecessor (at least on paper).

The Edge 60 Fusion already comes with a pretty great screen, but the Edge 70 Fusion is likely to sport an even better one. | Image Credit -- PhoneArena
The Edge 60 Fusion's 6.67-inch display will seemingly grow not just in size, but brightness and refresh rate capabilities as well, while the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC is expected to be replaced by a faster Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 currently found inside such devices as the Nothing Phone (3a), Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus, and Realme P3 Pro.
Of course, that's still a decidedly mid-range chipset, but unlike the "standard" Edge 70 mid-ranger, the Edge 70 Fusion is tipped to pack a colossal 7,000mAh battery. That would be a massive step up from the Edge 60 Fusion's 5,200mAh cell, and while the dimensions and weight of the upcoming phone are not mentioned today, the Moto G57 Power makes me optimistic that Motorola will find a way to keep those numbers relatively manageable once again.
Where will you be able to buy the Edge 70 Fusion and for much?
Those, my friends, are the million-dollar questions... no one can answer just yet, although I can certainly venture some (semi) educated guesses. If history is any indication, for instance, the device will not be officially released in the US, which is definitely disappointing, and at some point, it's bound to become inexplicable.
Do you think you'll buy the Edge 70 Fusion?

If it's affordable enough, maybe

Why can't Americans enjoy the same aggressively priced, eye-catching, and well-equipped Android mid-rangers as folks in Asia and Europe? And yes, I'm pretty sure the "quad-curved" Motorola Edge 70 Fusion will bring its "military-grade" build and stunning colorways to the old continent at a very competitive price... even though I'm not entirely certain the Edge 60 Fusion's €330 tag is quite within reach with all those amazing upgrades listed above.
€330 equates to less than $400, mind you, which would be an absolutely dreamy placement for a handset with a gigantic battery, blazing fast charging, gorgeous screen, presumably gorgeous overall design, and top-notch durability. Oh, and let's not forget about great long-term software support... by Motorola's usual standards, at least.
Could the Edge 70 Fusion serve as a foundation for the Motorola Edge (2026)?
I certainly hope so, even though I have zero evidence to support my theory/wishful thinking. But Motorola has to follow up the US-exclusive Edge (2025) with a 2026 edition, and I think I'd rather see that take inspiration from this unannounced Edge 70 Fusion than the existing Edge 70.
The Edge (2025) is not a terrible phone, but it definitely needs a better sequel. | Image Credit -- PhoneArena
Of course, history suggests that the Edge (2026) could be different from both those international members of the Edge 70 family, but I will still hang on to my hopes of seeing a Motorola mid-ranger released stateside with a 7,000mAh or so battery, ultra-bright and ultra-sharp screen, and a sub-$500 price point.
Is that likely? Maybe not... in the near future. Is it doable? Absolutely.
