Razer Phone Gold Edition is now available for a limited time

The claim to fame for the Razer Phone is its zippy 120Hz refresh rate, and the two loud speakers that adorn the front of the handset. Now, a limited edition of the gaming phone is available with some minor changes. The main difference with the Razer Phone Gold Edition is with the logo on back, which is in gold for this variant of the handset. In addition, the unit is placed inside a new red-colored box, and is offered in the U.S. and Hong Kong to celebrate the Chinese Spring Festival.

In case it slipped your mind, the Razer Phone features a 5.7-inch LCD screen and a resolution of 1440 x 2560. That's a QHD display with a 16:9 aspect ratio, just the way grandma used to bake them in the olden days. Since then, we've seen those darn kids with their edge-to-edge screens and their 18:9 aspect ratios try to take over. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 835 chipset carrying an octa-core CPU clocked at 2.45GHz, and the Adreno 540 chipset. 8GB of RAM is inside along with 64GB of expandable storage.

The Razer Phone sports a rear-facing dual camera setup, with both a 12MP (f/1.8 aperture) sensor and 13MP (f/2.6 aperture) sensor on board. For selfies, an 8MP camera can be found in front. Keeping the lights on is a 4000mAh battery, and Android Nougat is pre-installed.

The price of the Razer Phone Gold Edition is the same $699.99. If you're looking to add a little gold to your life, click on the source link below.
