Being Apple’s entry-level tablet, the 11-inch iPad with the A16 chip is often neglected. The irony, though, is that it’s the best choice for shoppers who don’t need an insane amount of firepower and are on a budget. Even better, you can often find it at a sweet discount—just like now.

Amazon is currently selling the 128GB Wi-Fi-only version of the model in Blue for just under $400, which is about $50 off the tablet’s usual cost. I understand that the discount might not seem significant at first glance, but I also think it’s always a nice opportunity when you can get a brand-new iPad for less.

If you're Team Samsung, the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite is quite tempting at Walmart right now, though you'll have to make one sacrifice.

$50 off (14%)

Thanks to a sweet $50 price drop on Amazon, the 128GB iPad 11 is now under $300. The slate delivers speedy performance and offers pretty great visuals. It's a solid pick if you don't want to overspend but still want a capable device for daily tasks. Save while the offer lasts!

Furthermore, it may not be on the level of the iPad Pro with the M5 chip or the M4-powered iPad Air, but our friend here is no slouch either. Its A16 silicon still packs a punch and can handle most tasks and apps without breaking a sweat. That means stuff like scrolling Insta, catching up with the latest tech news on PhoneArena.com, or streaming the latest videos on your favorite YouTube channel will feel effortless.

Speaking of watching videos, the slate comes with an LCD panel with a 2360 × 1640 resolution and support for Apple’s True Tone technology. So, while it doesn’t offer the deep blacks and better contrast of the Pro’s Tandem OLED display, it’ll still let you enjoy a pleasant viewing experience—for a fraction of the cost.

That being said, the refresh rate is capped at 60Hz, while the peak brightness is 500 nits. Your eyes will definitely get used to the lower frequency, but keep in mind that using the tablet in direct sunlight outside might be tricky. Indoors, though, you shouldn’t have any issues.

Plus, the 28.93Wh battery on deck offers pretty great endurance, which tips the scales in favor of the slate even more. During our benchmarks—see our in-depth iPad (A16) review to learn more—the power cell delivered six hours and 20 minutes of continuous playback in our video streaming test and offered over 10 hours in our web browsing run.

Add the fact that you can save $50, and I believe you now see what a bargain the A16-powered iPad actually is. So, don’t miss out and save on yours now!
